We’re not just another dog treat company. that’s why I chose the water bear to represent what Boundless can and will do, using the resilient hemp plant in every avenue and in all its’ forms.

The tardigrade aka water bear aka slow walkers are known as some of the strongest animals known in existence and sound like some of the classiest. They are cosmopolitan, meaning they live in pretty much every environment and their resilience even extends to their eggs, surviving long distance travel via other animals, or being carried by the wind for long miles. Living in diverse areas means they can survive extreme conditions and temperatures whether it’s extreme weather here on planet Earth, in Antarctica or even in outer space, with a vessel capable of withstanding cold temperatures in outer space reaching -458 degrees fahrenheit and were able to be reanimated through rehydration after 10 days while also surviving solar ultraviolet rays and tolerating extreme highs of 300 degrees fahrenheit, and can even withstand nuclear radiation. That means they can survive air deprivation, dehydration, and starvation. Seems impossible but as if all that wasn’t impressive enough, they can also suspend and shut down their metabolism. In this state, they can go without food and water for several years.

Because of all their incredible feets, I look at them like superheroes, but there are some important things we do have in common with this amazing creature. Although we both have adapted and found a way to live anywhere, the longer they’re exposed to extreme conditions, the more the chances of them dying increases; they weren’t built to live in extreme conditions forever, they were built to endure and so are we. And just like the slow walkers who have actively been seen to learn from challenges, so are humans, and we will always find a way to adjust and do better, even when the conditions seem impossible.
